I don't think I can adequately express to you my level of excitement. We love this boy so much. Asher is jumping up and down, exclaiming, "Baby Man is coming home! Baby Man is coming home! Now Sissy will have a baby, and I will have a baby!"
Honestly, God's plan is so awesome. Had we not had those 3 years in the desert trying for another biological baby, we would never EVER have gone into foster/adopt land. And oh, I am so glad we are here. Tianna, we *love* the idea of saying, "He's our bonus son!" :)
A friend told me about a year ago, "I don't want you to view adoption as second best." Honestly, then, I think I may have. Now, I don't. No, I don't.
Anyway, in the spirit of joy that is today, here is Phoebe's birth video. I'm warning you, it's graphic. You can hear me sobbing in the back ground. You can also see them checking for an an*us.
You may need Kleenex.
Enjoy.

awwww, I don't think that's graphic at all! Looks like a normal cesarean delivery to me. I just can't get enough of those first newborn reflexes -- the way they move their arms and draw up their legs. Just yummy! Good job, Rachel!
Awwww! This is beautiful. Makes me wish I had taped my delivery! This also makes me wish I were a obgyn or delivery nurse. There's no way you can be in that environment every day and not know there's a God!!! Praise His name!!!

Awesome.
“For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mothers womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139:13-16
{Praise GOD who was with you and little one the Whole TIME}
she is so perfect :)
OK...kleenex was necessary...she is so absolutely precious, Rach. I just praise God when I think of that whole week and all fo the miracles you two came through!!
Did you notice she calmed down her squeals when Scott was talking to her? That was too sweet!!
P.S. I understand why, but found the anus hunt hilarious!!
Just perfectly beautiful... congratulations again - now go soak up those babies!
